Blue
●Kaylee Zou

Blue is the color of water,
Sometimes wild,
Other times calm,
Drifts down in rain,
Towers as the sky,
Roars as the ocean,
Though it is sad,
Feels just so blue.

Bubbles
Those delicate,
Fragile,
Blips in the air,
Float,
Gleaming,
With rainbows,
Dancing on their backs.

Chance
What is a chance?
A chance is risky,
Possibly a dead end,
But a chance is also an opportunity,

The light in darkness,
But when you take the chance,
Whether or not you succeed,
Is all in the chance.

Clueless
It’s not that I am oblivious,
In fact I envy those lucky people,
And am sorry I am not one of them,
For I know,
Only that I don’t know,
And that bothers me so,
To the point,
Where I am utterly,
Clueless.

Conformity
 Everyone wears a green hat,
So I will too,
Everyone eats pancakes,
So I will too,
Everyone watches TV,
So I will too,
Everyone smokes,
So I will too,
Everyone drinks,
So I will too,
Everyone cuts themselves,
So I will too,
I am not happy,
But this is everyone’s life,
The same,
Dwelling in conformity.

Destiny
Destiny is a powerful force,
But it is also an illusion,
And the choice of the path one will take,
Will not be chosen by destiny,
But by one’s self,
And when one succeeds,
One shall know,
That one deserved it,
And not destiny.

Dragonfly
A mystical creature,
Dancing in sky,
Skimming the surface of lakes,
Fluttering in the wind,
Is the legendary,
Dragonfly.

Clouds
The milky white clouds are gracefully adrift,
The way they glide is peacefully swift,
In the sky they pleasantly float,
Like the sailing of a boat,

Some clouds soar low and some soar high,
In the sky they always fly,
Some clouds are big and some are small,
Exquisite is the word for all,

The clouds are forever changing shapes,
Above the earth they proudly drape,
Controlling the always altering weather,
Though they can be as light as a feather,

The powers of the clouds are a great wonder,
Clouds can create the almighty thunder,
Or even the lightest drizzle of rain,
Amazing clouds rule the sky.

Contradicted

I hate this world so deeply, to the extent where I love it,
I’m distraught, shaken, by this reality,
Yet, I value, treasure, this truth,
What is it that makes me yearn to live but sometimes hope to leave,
This beautiful, however horrific society?

Courage

Where is courage?
Is it lurking between the leaves of a tree?
Is it lying within the cracks of pavement?
Is it concealed by a strong gust of wind?
Where is courage?

Courage is beheld by every person,
Deep down inside of them,
Waiting to be brought out to the open,
To be unlocked,
And finally be unleashed,

With courage in your hands,
You beheld strength,
Power,
For courage is a virtue,
Anything is possible,
When you free your courage.

Don’t Let Go

Don’t let go of those childish dreams,
No matter how foolish they may seem,
Cling onto those faltering emotions,
That you use to experience as blasts like the  waves of the ocean,
For those are pieces,
Parts of you that you shouldn’t let cease,
So,
Don’t let go.
